Fees & Student Finance

Psychology with Counselling

Student Finance England is a government service that helps eligible UK students pay for their university education. It provides:
• Tuition Fee Loans – cover the full cost of your course fees, paid directly to the university.
• Maintenance Loans – help with living costs such as rent, food, and travel.
• Extra Support – including grants for parents, carers, and students with disabilities.

No. If you use Student Finance England, your tuition fees are paid directly to the university on your behalf. You do not pay anything upfront.

You only start repaying your student loan after you finish your course and are earning above £25,000 per year (current threshold). Repayments are taken automatically from your salary, similar to tax.

Repayments are income-based. You’ll repay 9% of what you earn above the threshold. For example, if you earn £28,000 a year, you’ll only repay around £22 per month.

If you never earn above the repayment threshold, you will not repay anything. After 40 years (or sooner, depending on government rules), any outstanding balance is written off.

Yes — our admissions team provides step-by-step guidance to ensure your application is submitted correctly and on time.
